Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proudly [sic] announced that the country he rules is nominating US President Donald Trump for 2026 Nobel Peace Prize “in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis”.
The Government of Pakistan made the recommendation on Saturday in a post on X soon after Trump was asked on Friday about the Nobel. Trump said he should be awarded it for a variety of reasons, including his work on India and Pakistan.
Luckily are not the international governements neither Prime ministers to decide who’s gonna win the Nobel Peace Prize, and nominations are closely guarded.
