According to Al Jazeera the attack may include Russian troops from Moscow-friendly Belarus, (which is north of Kyiv), and the region of Transdnistria, a pro-Moscow Moldovan region stretches across Ukraine’s southwestern border. Ukrainian officials say that Russia amassed up to 115,000 troops near its borders in the last few weeks.
