A ceasefire in Gaza would be a vital respite, but it would come tragically late and after immense suffering and countless lives lost, says Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in a press release. The Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization, awaiting the signing and commencement of the ceasefire, is calling for more than a temporary pause in the fighting, so that people can rebuild their lives, regain their dignity and mourn the dead and all that has been lost.

Israel’s bombing must stop and a massive and urgent increase in humanitarian aid is needed to stop the catastrophic nutritional and medical needs of the population.
