Alla fine del 2010 il sito After Elton invitò i suoi lettori a eleggere il miglior film a tematica lgbt di tutti i tempi. Dopo quindicimila voti e più di cinquecento titoli selezionati, la classifica (che trovate in basso) è stata stilata e vincitore, o meglio, trionfatore dell’inchiesta è stato il bellissimo film di Ang Lee ”Brokeback Mountain”.
Si nota come la distribuzione giochi un ruolo importante nella scelta dei film da parte del pubblico: non c’è traccia di film splendidi come Eduardo II de Derek Jarman, Prick up your ears di Stephen Frears o Another Country di Mariek Kanievska.
