According to recode.net Facebook, the social blue, is having a “negative impact on society around the world”. The news came directly from Mark Zuckerberg’s former personal pollster, Tavis McGinn, and are based on his most recent survey, tracked on the public’s perception of CEO Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg while working for Facebook.
Tavis McGinn left Facebook after just six months and launched his own polling company, Honest Data, an 18-person company which conducts market research for large tech firms. Is according exactly to a recent survey McGinn conducted, that Facebook is been found not well regarded in many parts of the world.
“Australia, Canada and the U.K. had the highest share of respondents — about 33 percent — who say that Facebook is having a “negative impact on society,” according to McGinn’s new survey”, write Recode.net, and 32% of Americans – about 54 million people – seems to be similarly disenchanted, saying Facebook has a negative impact on society considered far worse than Google’s possible impact on society.
Recode.net remarks that countries where the percentage was lower, like Japan, tend to be places where people aren’t as likely to use Facebook.
