“Syria is been liberated” says the commander in chief of the opposition fighters right after rebels entered Damascus and freed prisoners of the regime, as Assad fled the country. The speech is been offered live on state TV. Right after the speech Prime Minister Mohammed al-Jalali “I’m ready to support transition of power” and cooperate with the opposition after President Bashar al-Assad’s quickly escape.

According to Al Jazeera infomations, the military command of the opposition forces has issued a statement, in wich instructions to all opposition forces have been sent out after the overjoy explosion in Damascus and all around the country.

The statement says it is strictly forbidden to fire bullets into the air under any circumstances as well as to tamper with public institutions and property, as they are the rightful property of the people. It is forbidden to encroach upon or harm any private property in any form.

The rebel coalition Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the Islamist militant group leading the rebellion against government forces, will continue its work to complete the transfer of power in Syria to a transitional governing body with full executive powers.

Ex president Bashar-al-Assad fled the country to unkwown destination.

UN: “Ready to support Syrians in journey to inclusive future”

In a statement published by his office, the UN’s Syria envoy Geir Pederson said the international community is ready to support Syrians in their journey to inclusive future urged citizens of the country Syrians to “prioritise dialogue, unity and respect for international humanitarian law and human rights as they seek to rebuild their society”.

“It is essential” he added, that “the clear desire expressed by millions of Syrians that stable and inclusive transitional arrangements are put in place, that the Syrian institutions continue to function, and that the Syrian people are enabled to begin to chart the path to meeting the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people and restore a unified Syria”. The statement is reported by Al Jazeera.
